Susan G. Komen Race For The Cure
Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure® Series raises significant funds and awareness for the fight against breast cancer, celebrating breast cancer survivorship and honoring those who have lost their battle with the disease.

The funds raised by the Komen Race for the Cure® Series are used by Komen for the Cure with its Affiliate Network to fund breast cancer research grants, meritorious awards and educational, scientific and community outreach programs around the world.

Since its origination in Dallas, Texas, in 1983, the Komen Race for the Cure® Series has grown from one local race with 800 participants to a series of more than 100 races with more than one million people participating in 2008.

Join the fight for the cure by participating in this years race to be held, April 18th, 2009 at Indian Springs park in downtown Waco.
