The Advocacy Center for Crime Victims and Children is an umbrella 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization of programs that serve to bring about healing to children and adults who are victims of crime and to facilitate change to end violence through advocacy, collaboration and community awareness through programs such as the Children's Advocacy Center, CASA and the Victims Center and Crisis Hotline.
The Children’s Advocacy Center is a centralized clearing house for investigation of suspected sexual and physical abuse. CAC provides a safe nurturing place for children to tell their stories.
Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) work with children who have been placed in foster care. They are appointed officers of the court who make a big difference in the lives of children.
The Victims Center responds immediately to survivors of violence through hotline advocacy and therapeutic services. While seventy percent of those served by the program are affected by sexual assault, the agency works with all victims of all crimes.
On October 18th you have the opportunity to join The Advocacy Center in support of their mission by joining them at the Speak Up for Kids 5k/10k walk, run and fun fest. So mark your calendars, details coming soon.
