(November 5, 2012) --- The 8-5A champion Copperas Cove volleyball team had a number of selections on the All-District team announced on Monday. Junior middle blocker Qiana Canete earned the district's Most Valuable Player, sophomore Mikayla Blount was named Co-Newcomer of the Year and head coach Cari Lowery was named Coach of the Year.

Other awards include Harker Heights senior Anjane Janda earning Most Valuable Hitter honors and senior Katie Schulte named Most Valuable Setter. Midway junior outside hitter Laine McGinty was tabbed Co-Newcomer of the Year along with Blount.
