AP Names Texas High School Player Of The Year

DALLAS (December 21, 2012)--Southlake Carroll quarterback Kenny Hill joins Johnny Manziel on a short list of Texas high school football stars and he plans on joining the Heisman Trophy winner at Texas A&M next year, too.

Hill was named the Texas Associated Press Sports Editors player of the year Friday after leading Carroll on another long playoff run a year after winning a Class 5A championship.

The son of former major league pitcher Ken Hill threw for 2,291 yards and 20 touchdowns during the regular season.
