Cameron Yoe Wins 2A State Crown

ROUND ROCK (June 9, 2011) -- Zach Brashear had three hits and two RBIs and pitched three innings for the save to lead Cameron Yoe to the Class 2A state championship with a 7-3 victory against Nacogdoches Central Heights on Thursday.

Brashear was named the MVP of the 2A State Tournmament. His save came a day after he pitched a complete-game
shutout in the semifinals. He scored a run in the final and was 5
for 7 in the state tournament.

A two-run single by Brashear keyed a five-run second inning that
put Cameron Yoe (35-7-1) in control. Thomas Rinn had a double and
triple and was the winning pitcher after striking out five in four
innings. He allowed all three Central Heights runs.

Hunter Haley had two of the five hits for Central Heights (35-7).
