FORT WORTH (July 29, 2013) -- Coaches from all over the state are in Fort Worth for this year's Texas High School Coaches Association convention.
Coaches from around central Texas said it's a great opportunity to learn something new and take it back to their schools.
"I always look at it as a learning experience. I'm always trying to learn something new," said Midway head coach Terry Gambill.
"You learn a new idea or two along the way, new concepts, ways people are doing things that you've never thought about. So, lots of times it just causes you to think about what we do, why we do it, is there another way to skin that rabbit and if so, let's look at it," Lorena head coach Ray Biles said.
"Coaches are real generous around here. Not only do they take the time and do a lecture for us, but they're willing to meet with you afterwards and answer specific questions and we've gotten some of those answered while we're here," Waco High head coach Marty Herbst said.
