(March 22, 2012) -- Shoemaker running back Johnny Jefferson has made a verbal commitment to Baylor University to play football.

Jefferson previously committed to Texas A&M, but decommitted on Wednesday. Coach Channon Hall and Johnny Jefferson called Baylor coach Art Briles today and at that time Johnny made his verbal commitment to Baylor University.

The three star back received offers from multiple schools including Texas A & M, TCU, Illinois, Oklahoma State and Houston.

During his junior year, Jefferson rushed for 821 yards and nine touchdowns.
