Local 11U Baseball Team Wins Tournament

(July 12, 2011) -- The Centex Aces, a local 11 and under select baseball team won the Nations Baseball 2011 Gulf Coast 11U Elite World Series Champions in a tournament in Pensacola, Florida last weekend.

The team, comprised of kids from Robinson, China Spring, Crawford, Midway, and Bosqueville, came from behind at their last at bat in two consecutive games. They defeated the North Florida Bulls on Sunday 5-4 and 8-5. The Aces went 6-1 during the tournament to claim the championship.

I am so proud of our boys from Texas. They have worked real hard for this big win!! A big thanks to the coaches who gave their time to make this happen. Hard work=big win!!
