Friday Night Little League Results

(July 29, 2011) -- The Midway 12-year-old Little League All-Star softball team captured a 19-1 run-rule victory over Arkansas Little League in the winner's bracket of the Southwest Regional Tournament in Waco. Midway scored 9 runs in the top of the 4th inning.

Midway will now face the winner of the Colorado/New Mexico Little League on Sunday at 8 pm.

In other Little League tournaments, the Bosqueville Gators, a 7- and 8- year-old all-star team, defeated the Jacksonville Athletics 8-5 to capture the state title of the Junior Midget of Texas Teenage State Baseball Association. The Gators won Friday night in Clifton.

The Riesel Pioneer Steel beat the Brownwood Mets 10-1 to capture the 12 and under state Texas Teen-Age title in Ennis.
