(May 31, 2012) -- District 19-3A dominated the Region-III bracket of the 3A playoffs, as Robinson and China Spring met up for a state tournament berth Thursday night at Mary Hardin-Baylor. But just like in the first two district games, the Rockets found a way to beat their district rival.

Robinson used two RBI bunt singles to down China Spring 2-0 in the one game playoff at Red Murff Field. The top ranked Rockets earned a fifth straight victory over the Cougars.

Robinson advances to the 3A state tournament next week at UFCU Disch-Falk Field at the University of Texas. The Rockets will play their state semifinal game Wednesday at either 1:00 p.m. or 4:00 p.m.
