(February 8, 2012) -- Lakesha Jelks signed a national letter of intent on Wednesday morning with Texas A&M in Track & Field. The Shoemaker Lady Wolves senior will run the 200m and 400m for the Aggies.

Jelks was a regional qualifier last season in both the 200 and 400. Her best time in the 400 is 55 seconds and her best time in the 200 is 24.3 second.

The Texas A&M women's track team won the national championship in 2011.
