Waco (June 13, 2012) -- Chandler Phillips from Huntsville and Madeline Davis from Houston win the boys and girls championship at the 14th annual Starburst Junior Golf Classic Wednesday in Waco.

Phillips finished with a 1-under 71 in the final round and completed the tournament as the only golfer under par. He won with a three day total of 213. The highest Central Texas golfer was Waco's Brooklin Bailey, who finished third with a three day score of 218.

Davis carded a 76, for a two day total of 152. She edged Felicia Sauceda from Nederland by five strokes. The second round did not count towards the final total due to bad weather which kept golfers from completing their rounds.
