(June 2, 2011) -- La Vega offensive lineman and Rivals 4-star recruit Michael Starts made his decision today on where he will attend college. Starts will attend Texas Tech next fall.

Starts chose the Red Raiders over Baylor, Texas, Oklahoma and TCU.

Despite being projected as an offensive lineman in college, Starts will have the opportunity to play defensive end for Texas Tech.

"This is a big step for me," Starts said. "Coach told me if I come play defense, I'd be a big impact."
