(February 14, 2013) -- Glenn Talbott has resigned as head football coach and athletic director for the Salado Eagles.
Superintendent Michael Novotny spoke with 254Sports Thursday evening about Talbott's resignation, saying the coach wants to pursue coaching opportunities with another district.
Novotny said the vacant position will be posted Friday and he will accept applications for the next three weeks. He hopes to have the position filled, after several interviews with finalist, by Monday, April 1.
Novotny said he appreciated Glenn's nine years of service as a coach in Salado and wishes him the best of luck in his future endeavors.
Talbott served as Eagles' head coach for the last three years, compiling an 8-22 record. Salado went 2-8 last season.
