Baylor Baseball Heads To Astros Foundation College Classic

HOUSTON (February 28, 2013) -- Making its eighth appearance in the event, Baylor baseball will participate in the 2013 Astros Foundation College Classic this weekend at Minute Maid Ballpark.

BU’s three games will take place on Friday at 12 p.m. CT against California, Saturday at 3:30 p.m. versus Houston and Sunday at 6 p.m. against No. 12 Rice.

The Bears are 11-10 all-time in the tournament, including a 3-0 record in their 2005 College World Series season. In BU’s last appearance in 2011, it opened with a 5-2 win over Houston, fell 4-3 to Utah and then ended on an exciting 12-8 win in 10 innings against Rice.
