Baylor Game Against Sam Houston State To Air On FCS

WACO (August 22, 2012) -- Baylor's Sept. 15 home football game vs. Sam Houston State will be televised live at 6 p.m. CDT on FOX College Sports, the Big 12 Conference announced Wednesday. With today's announcement Baylor's first two games will air on FOX networks, as the previously announced season opener vs. SMU airs on FSN at 5:30 p.m. CDT from Floyd Casey Stadium.

Baylor's third contest, a road game at Louisiana-Monroe on Sept. 21, will telecast live nationally on ESPN or ESPN2.

Head coach Art Briles opens his fifth season in 2012 with a squad made up of 54 returning lettermen and 16 returning starters from last year's record-setting Valero Alamo Bowl championship team that finished 10-3 and No. 12 in the final ESPN/USA Today coaches poll and 13th in the AP poll. The team set or tied 119 school records and earned its highest final ranking since 1986.
