(March 12, 2014) When Baylor takes the floor for its Big 12 Tournament first round matchup tonight with TCU, it will be wearing a different uniform than expected. The NCAA ruled only a team or mascot name can be on the front of a jersey. Baylor men's basketball announced the change on its Twitter account.
The Bears announced last Thursday it would be wearing specially designed uniforms by adidas during postseason play that features the "Sic 'Em Bears" rally cry across the chest.
A Baylor official told KWTX via text, "We've been working with adidas and the NCAA to find a solution to this issue."
Last week adidas unveiled specially designed uniforms for 10 schools as part of its "Made In March" uniform line.
For now the Bears will wear its regular season uniforms during the postseason. There are six designations: white, gold, green, black, electricity and electricity with sleeves.
