Baylor Soccer Readies For Road Matches

WACO (October 11, 2012) -- To wrap up a three-match road stretch, the 20th-ranked Baylor soccer team will travel to 25th-ranked West Virginia (9-3-3, 5-0-0) on Friday, before visiting defending Big 12 champion Oklahoma State (10-4-1, 1-3-1) on Sunday.

The Bears (11-1-2, 2-0-1) will be facing the Mountaineers for the first time in program history. The match is slated for a 6 p.m. (CT) start at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium in Morgantown, W. Va. Sunday’s tussle with OSU will be at 4 p.m. from the Cowgirl Soccer Complex in Stillwater, Okla. and will be nationally televised on ESPNU.

Baylor faces its second ranked opponent of the season on Friday in No. 25 West Virginia. The Bears lost to 15th-ranked Long Beach State, 2-1 (2OT), in their only other match with a ranked foe. Overall, BU is undefeated in its last 10 games dating back to that loss at Long Beach State.

After downing Texas Tech on Friday, BU is 2-0-1 in Big 12 play. It is the first time Baylor has been undefeated in its opening three Big 12 games since 1998.
