Baylor Volleyball Announces Hiring Of Tiffin As Director Of Operations

WACO (February 1, 2013) -- Jeremiah Tiffin has been hired as the new Director of Operations for the Baylor volleyball program, head coach Jim Barnes announced Friday.

“In Jeremiah we have added a quality person with a very experienced volleyball background,” Barnes said. “He is a graduate of Baylor and has a real passion for the school and our program.”

Tiffin joins the Bears after three seasons as head coach at Hill College in Hillsboro, Texas. During his three years, Tiffin led the Lady Rebels to three-consecutive playoff appearances and developed three conference defensive players of the year and seven first-team all-conference selections. Tiffin spent two seasons as an assistant at Hill before being named head coach, helping the squad to consecutive conference tournament title appearances.

Tiffin served as a volunteer graduate assistant at Arkansas State University during the 2006 NCAA season. His duties involved tape exchange, scouting opponents, in-match statistics as well as being an on-court coach during practice. Arkansas State finished with a record of 21-14 and finished second in the Sun Belt Conference Western Division.

Tiffin also serves as a head coach with the Waco Juniors Volleyball Club, coaching both the 16- and 17-year-old age groups.

Originally from Canada, Tiffin graduated from Baylor University where he received his bachelor's degree in education in health, human performance and recreation and a master's degree in education in sport pedagogy in May 2007. While attending Baylor, Tiffin played on the men's club volleyball team for four years as a starting setter.

Tiffin’s duties will include day-to-day office duties, running the team’s statistical programs, video and editing programs, practice organization, equipment management and recruiting organization.
