Two Baylor Football Games Moved For TV

WACO (April 19, 2012) -- Two early Baylor non-conference football games have been selected for national telecasts, the season-opener vs. SMU in Waco will air live on FSN Sunday, Sept. 2 at 5:30 p.m. CDT and the road opener at Louisiana-Monroe will air live on ESPN or ESPN2 Friday, Sept. 21 at 7 p.m. CDT.

“We welcome opportunities to play on television and are pleased with the visibility and opportunity for Baylor Nation to watch our games,” head coach Art Briles said. “The 2012 team is ready to take the field and represent Baylor University.”

Briles opens his fifth season in 2012 with a squad made up of 54 returning lettermen and 16 returning starters from last year’s record-setting Valero Alamo Bowl championship team that finished 10-3 and No. 12 in the final ESPN/USA Today coaches poll and 13th in the AP poll. The team set or tied 119 school records and earned its highest final ranking since 1986.
