(June 8, 2012) -- Baylor hosts Arkansas in the 2012 NCAA Waco Super Regional, which starts at 4:05 p.m. Saturday. Game two is slated for 3:05 p.m. Sunday, and if necessary, the winner-take-all game three will be played at 3:05 p.m. Monday. Saturday and Sunday games will be televised on ESPNUHD, and Monday's if-necesssary game will be shown on ESPN2HD. The winner of the Super Regional will advance to the 66th annual NCAA College World Series in Omaha, Neb.
The Big 12 Champion Bears are hosting a Super Regional for the third time. Baylor lost two of three to Oklahoma State in the 1999 Waco Super Regional, but the Bears won two of three in the 2005 Waco Super Regional against Clemson to advance to Omaha for the first time since 1978.
Baylor advanced to the Super Regional by winning the Waco Regional against Oral Roberts, UT Arlington and Dallas Baptist. The Bears lost the opening game to ORU, then rebounded to win four games in three days, including a pair of games in 90-degree heat on Sunday. Arkansas advanced to Waco by winning all three games it played in the Houston Regional, defeating Sam Houston State twice and host Rice once.
