(April 1, 2014) Odyssey Sims of Baylor along with Chiney Ogwumike of Stanford, and Breanna Stewart of UConn was a unanimous choice for The Associated Press women's basketball All-America team announced Tuesday.
The three were joined on the squad Tuesday by Maryland's Alyssa Thomas and Notre Dame's Kayla McBride.
It's the second straight season that Ogwumike and Sims earned first-team honors.
Thomas made the team as a sophomore and again as a senior.
UConn's four other starters also received All-America votes, marking only the second time since the AP started picking teams that a school has had five players selected.
Seniors Stefanie Dolson and Bria Hartley made the second team, while Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis and Moriah Jefferson were honorable mention.
