BU is off to a 3-0 start to the season for the third consecutive year and is ranked No. 17 in the AP Top 25 and No. 16 in the USA Today Coaches Poll. The Bears open Big 12 Conference play against West Virginia on Saturday at 7 p.m. at Floyd Casey Stadium. That game will be broadcast on FOX Sports 1.
Baylor currently leads the country in scoring (69.7 ppg.), total offense (751.3 ypg.) and passing (444.3 ypg.), while defensively the Bears are first in tackles for loss (11.3 per game) and second in scoring (7.7 ppg.).
It will be the Bears' 22nd straight game to be broadcast on national TV and the fifth this season on the FOX family of networks (first two on FOX Sports Southwest, ULM and WVU win on FS1).
Kansas State is 2-2 on the season and will travel to face Oklahoma State on Saturday at 2:30 p.m., before the Bears make their trek to Manhattan, Kan., next week.
Baylor hosted K-State last season, earning one of the top wins in program history by taking out the then-No. 1 ranked Wildcats 52-24. It was BU’s first-ever win over a No. 1 team and kicked off the current seven-game winning streak that the Bears own.
Kansas State leads the all-time series between the two schools 7-3, but Baylor has won three of the last five games. The Bears have never won in Manhattan, going 0-4 in games played in the Little Apple.
