(November 14, 2012) -- College football returns to Copperas Cove Bulldawg Stadium on Saturday, December 1 as the 12th-annual C.H.A.M.P.S. Heart of Texas Bowl features fifth-ranked Navarro College Bulldogs against the 20th-ranked Georgia Military College Bulldogs.
The game kicks off at 11:00 a.m.
At 7:00 p.m., the McMurry University War Hawks take on the Southern Arkansas Muleriders.
Copperas Cove ISD Athletic Director Jack Welch says the Bowl Week serves two purposes.
"One, it helps to promote tourism in Copperas Cove, getting people to eat in our restaurants and stay in our hotels, while getting to watch great college football," he said. "Two, it helps us to promote the work of CHAMPS, to get the message out to our kids about living a drug and alcohol-free life, plus it lets our football players watch college football and see the many college coaches who come to watch the game."
Cost is $20 for reserved seats and $10 for general admission and each ticket is good for both games. Active duty military personnel get in free with valid ID card.
