Yoemen Knock Off Newton To Advance To State

SHENANDOAH (December 14, 2012) -- No. 2 Cameron Yoe is headed back to play for a 2A Division one state title for the second time in three years after defeating No. 3 Newton 39-22 in Shenandoah on Friday Night.

The Yoemen trailed Newton 22-8 in the 2nd quarter but scored 31 unanswered points.

Cameron Yoe will face Daingerfield in a rematch of the 2010 2A Division one state title game Friday, 2:00 PM at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington. The Tigers won that game 33-27.

Daingerfield advanced to the state title game with a 29-22 win over Wall.
