Cameron Yoe Win 2A D-I State Title

ARLINGTON (December 21, 2012) -- Keston Denio rushed for 163 yards and a touchdown, Jason Kopriva threw for two scores and Cameron Yoe won their second state title with a 38-20 victory against Daingerfield in the Class 2A Division I championship game Friday.

Denio gave Cameron a 21-0 lead on a 31-yard run late in the first quarter after Kopriva opened the scoring with a 9-yard TD pass to Zach Felts.

Felts also had a third-quarter scoring run for Cameron (15-0). Kopriva was 19 of 29 passing for 171 yards.

Edwin Mims threw for 205 yards and two touchdowns for Daingerfield (12-4), which was trying for its a fifth state title in the past six seasons.

The Yoe won the Class 3A title in 1981, when they were known as Cameron.
