CenTex Athletes Named State Finalists For Wendy’s High School Heisman

(October 30, 2012) -- Vanguard's Jake Schwartz and Bruceville-Eddy's Whitney Doyen have been named state finalist for the Wendy's High School Heisman. Only 10 male and 10 female athletes are chosen as state finalist each year.

The Wendy’s High School Heisman Program and The Heisman Memorial Trophy team up to recognize the nation’s most esteemed high school seniors. The culmination of this process takes place in December in conjunction with the National Heisman Memorial Trophy presentation during Heisman Weekend in New York City. Wendy's selects its National High School Heisman Winners during a broadcast on ESPN networks.

Since 1994, the Wendy’s High School Heisman Program has honored more than 250,000 of the nation’s most esteemed high school seniors in partnership with the Heisman Memorial Trophy® Committee. The leadership award-honorees are well-rounded young men and woman who excel in learning, performing, and leading in the classroom, on the field and in the community.
