College Basketball Player Collapses; Listed In Critical Condition

SALT LAKE CITY (December 3, 2012)--A Utah State basketball player who collapsed at practice and stopped breathing remained in critical condition Wednesday.

Intermountain Medical Center spokesman Jess Gomez said Danny Berger was in critical condition Wednesday morning at the hospital in Murray, Utah.

Utah State officials said the game scheduled for Wednesday night in Provo between Utah State and Brigham Young has been postponed because of Berger's condition.

Emergency responders used a defibrillator after Berger collapsed during practice Tuesday in Logan.

It is unknown what caused Berger to collapse.

The junior from Medford, Ore., is a starting forward for the Aggies who averages 7.6 points per game and 3.6 rebounds.
