FT. WORTH (March 7, 2013) -- TCU held it's pro day Thursday morning and one of the bright spots of the NFL combine was unable to participate.

Former Copperas Cove standout Josh Boyce, an early entry into this year's NFL draft, did not work out.

The wide receiver underwent foot surgery recently after reportedly breaking a bone in his right foot at the NFL combine.

After a strong combine, Boyce wasn't expected to do much at pro day.

"Probably just do my vertical again and just run routes, so, probably all I would have done," said Boyce.

However Boyce still would have liked to participate if he was healthy,
"I'm competitive and a little disappointed, that's how life is, but I'm ok."

According to CBS Sportsline.com, Boyce is projected to be a 5th round pick.
