Crawford's Dunlap Wins 2A Cross Country Title in Record Time

(November 9, 2013) Crawford senior Annie Dunlap set a new course record to bring home the 2A girls' cross country state title Saturday in Round Rock.

Dunlap's time of 10 minutes, 59.72 seconds was 19 seconds faster than the previous 2A state record set by Loren Hodges of Paradise in 2005.

In the 1A girls' race, Hico's Kelsey Warren finished second in 11:58.20.

The highest finishing team from central Texas was San Saba. The Lady Armadillos finished with 86 points, eight behind state champion Harper. Goldthwaite was fifth with 129 points.
