ESPN: Briles Agrees To New Long-Term Deal With BU

WACO (December 4, 2012)—Baylor football coach Art Briles has agreed to a new long-term deal according to a school source quoted by ESPN Tuesday.

Briles was considered a candidate for the opening at Arkansas, ESPN reported.

254Sports talked to a Baylor official who did not deny the report of the Briles' contract extension.

Baylor defeated Oklahoma State Saturday in Waco to end the season with seven wins including a stunning upset of No. 1 Kansas State and an overtime victory over Texas Tech.

It’s the first time the Bears have won seven or more games in three consecutive seasons since the late 1940s.

Baylor faces UCLA in the Holiday Bowl on Dec. 27 in San Diego.
