Ex-OSU Basketball Player Leaves Jail

STILLWATER, Okla. (October 12, 2012)--Former Oklahoma State basketball player Darrell Williams, 23, was out of jail Friday, but his court battle will continue as he tries to clear his name in a sexual assault case.

A judge Friday gave Williams two suspended sentences of one year each on two rape by instrumentation convictions.

Two women accused Williams of groping them and reaching inside their pants without their consent at a party in December 2010.

Williams had been held in the Payne County Jail since his conviction in July.

He left the jail Friday in a car that pulled out of the garage and drove off without Williams speaking to anyone.

Williams' attorney said she hopes a new trial will be granted so he can be found not guilty and clear his name.
