Hamilton Out Of Rangers Lineup While 'Feeling Off'

ARLINGTON (May 28, 2012) -- Josh Hamilton is out of the Texas Rangers' lineup because of what the team says is an upper respiratory problem that has been bothering him for more than a week.

Hamilton says he called manager Ron Washington when he got up Monday - after being in bed more than 17 hours.

The slugger leads the majors with 20 homers and 53 RBIs in his 45 games played.

Hamilton, who hit a game-ending homer in the 13th inning Saturday against Toronto, says the last couple days have been "a little weird." He says he started feeling bad during a series in Houston that began 10 days earlier.

Craig Gentry played center field and David Murphy left for Texas in a series opener against Seattle.
