(February 5, 2012) -- Harker Heights offensive lineman Darius James has committed to play football for The University of Texas. The junior also received offers from Baylor, Texas A&M, TCU, Oklahoma, LSU and Florida.
The 6-5, 325-pound James visited Austin this morning and met with head coach Mack Brown, where he made his commitment.
James becomes the 14th commitment of the class. Last week, teammate and linebacker/safety Naashon Hughes made a verbal commitment to the Longhorns.
James is rated as the nation's No. 1 center prospect and ranked No. 92 overall in the Rivals100.
