The McLennan Highlanders fell to the Navarro Bulldogs 5-4 Friday at Bosque River Ballpark.
Navarro began the scoring with one run in the top of the first as Drake Roberts singled, stole second and came around to score on a passed ball.
The Bulldogs added two runs in the fifth. Mason Salazar and Kaleb Goodell drew back-to-back walks. Roberts singled to load the bases. John Clay Reeves then singled to score Salazar and Goodell.
MCC tied the game with three runs in the bottom of the fifth. Cole Calder and Kyle Thornell both singled. Calder then came around to score on a sacrifice fly by Evan Williams. Lee Raley followed with a single. Matt Hilston singled to score Thornell and Raley scored on a single by Tyler Floyd.
The Highlanders took the lead with one run in the sixth. Justin Perales led off with a single and Caleb Williams drew a walk. Calder bunted to load the bases. Perales then scored on a sacrifice fly by Evan Williams.
Navarro sealed the win with two runs in the top of the seventh. Salazar singled, advanced to third on a single by Roberts and score on a passed ball. Reeves followed with a single to move Roberts around to third. A sacrifice fly by Tyler Wilson brought Roberts in to score.
MCC and Navarro will complete the three-game series with a doubleheader at noon Saturday in Corsicana.
