LUFKIN (March 2, 2013) -- The McLennan Highlanders swept the Angelina Roadrunners Saturday in Lufkin.
MCC took game one 4-3 with Trey Wall getting the win and Conner Camacho picking up a save. Kyle Thornell and Andrew Rhodes both recorded doubles. Tyler Floyd and Ty Widiker both picked up an RBI.
The Highlanders defeated the Roadrunners 5-4 in the nightcap with Caleb Wallingford getting the win on the mound and Enrique Oquendo picking up the save. Caleb Williams was 2-4 at the plate with an RBI. Zach Valenzuela, Cole Calder, Justin Perales and Evan Williams each recorded a hit and an RBI.
MCC opens conference play on Wednesday, hosting Cisco for a noon doubleheader.
