The McLennan Highlassies fell to the Blinn Buccaneers 74-59 Saturday at The Highlands.
MCC held the 12-8 lead with 12:57 to go in the first half. Blinn used a 9-0 run to take the 17-15 lead midway through the half. The Buccaneers extended the lead to 11 but the Highlassies fought back, cutting it to three at halftime, 35-32.
Blinn extended the lead to 10 early in the second half. MCC cut the lead to seven with 5:49 remaining in the game but the Buccaneers pulled away down the stretch and the Highlassies were unable to recover.
Rae'Vaughn Barnes led MCC with 20 points.
