The McLennan Highlassies fell to the Trinity Valley Lady Cards 86-55 Wednesday in the final game of the MCC Shoot-out.
The two teams traded baskets for the first eight minutes of play with MCC leading 16-14 with 11:42 to go in the half. Trinity Valley broke the game open with a 23-2 run and held the 45-26 advantage at the break.
The Lady Cards continued to pull away in the second half.
Cha'Zaye Wright led the Highlassies with 18 points and Shanice Davis scored 14.
MCC returns to action on Friday, traveling to Wilburton, Okla. to face Eastern Oklahoma State at 5:30 p.m.
