The McLennan Highlassies swept the Hill Lady Rebels today at Bosque River Ballpark.
MCC took game one 1-0 with Kelly Smith picking up the win. Abigail Kester led the Highlassies at the plate, going 1-2 with an RBI.
The Highlassies defeated the Lady Rebels 5-3 in the nightcap with Veronica Garcia getting the win. Kristyn Kolacek was 3-4 to lead MCC. Brooke Jones and Garcia both went 2-3. Alli Akina and Kester both recorded an RBI.
MCC returns to action on Saturday, hosting Vernon for a 1 p.m. doubleheader.
The McLennan Highlanders and Grayson Vikings split today's conference doubleheader in Sherman.
Grayson took game one 6-5. Thomas Altimont took the loss on the mound for MCC. Jonathan Mejia recorded a double and Quinten Davis hit a home run.
MCC bounced back to win the nightcap 3-0 with Derek Barosh picking up the win and Hunter Perry getting the save. Brett Thornell and Reid Coover led the Highlanders at the plate, going 2-3 and 2-4, respectively.
The two teams will complete the four-game series with a 1 p.m. doubleheader on Saturday at Bosque River Ballpark.
