MANHATTAN, Kan. (September 12, 2012) -- John Hubert is the No. 1 running back for Kansas State, even though quarterback Collin Klein may be the Wildcats' No. 1 rushing option.
The former Midway Panther standout has emerged as a valuable complement to Klein this season, going over 100 yards rushing each of the first two games. He will try to make it three straight Saturday when the 15th-ranked Wildcats face North Texas.
Hubert doesn't receive nearly as many accolades as Klein, who had 27 touchdowns rushing last season. But all of those scores would not have been possible if Hubert wasn't powering his way down field on every offensive possession.
