Lady Bears Move Back Into AP Top 10

(January 27, 2014) Baylor’s Lady Bears moved back into the top 10 in AP’s women’s college basketball poll Monday after their overtime win over Oklahoma State.

The Lady Bears were ranked No. 9 in the poll Monday after defeating Oklahoma State 69-66 in overtime Sunday.

Connecticut remains No. 1 in the poll after two easy victories.

The Huskies routed both Memphis and South Florida to improve to 21-0 this season.

UConn visits Temple and Cincinnati this week where Geno Auriemma will coach against two of his former assistants.

Notre Dame, Duke, Stanford and Louisville followed the Huskies, with the first five teams unchanged in Monday's vote.

The second-ranked Irish are also unbeaten.

They visit No. 8 Maryland on Monday night.

North Carolina, South Carolina, Maryland, Baylor and Tennessee rounded out the first 10.

Middle Tennessee entered at No. 25, the Blue Raiders' first ranking since Nov. 16, 2009. Nebraska fell out.
