(October 2, 2012) -- The defending NCAA national champion Baylor Lady Bears tipoff the 2012-2013 season with its first practices of the season.
The Lady Bears return all five starters from last year's title team, including National Player of the Year and first-team All-American Brittney Griner, along with All-Americans Odyssey Sims and Destiny Williams. Baylor returns 90.4 percent of its scoring and 86.8 percent of individual rebounds from last season's 40-0 team.
BU will play its first exhibition game of the season October 30, hosting Oklahoma City University at 7 p.m.
