(March 20, 2013) -- The McLennan Highlassies swept the Cisco Lady Wranglers Wednesday in Cisco.
MCC defeated Cisco 9-0 in game one with Laura Wilson getting the win in the circle.
Taylor Davis led off the first inning with a solo home run.
The Highlassies added a run in the third as Kady Crow doubled and scored on a double by Abby White.
MCC scored two runs in the fourth as Audrey Calvo drew a walk and scored on a home run by Courtney Mica.
The Highlassies extended their lead with three runs in the fifth. Natali Duron and Lena Capps both singled. Both runners then scored on a triple by Sevanah Campos-Reyes.
The final two runs came in the top of the seventh as pinch hitter Brtoke Jones singled and scored on a home run by pinch hitter Sarah Zamora.
MCC won the second game 8-2.
The Highlassies scored four runs in the third inning. Duron and Davis both singled. Duron scored on a ground out by Mica. Crow singled and White drew a walk to load the bases. Davis then scored on a fly out by Campos-Reyes. Capps followed with a double to score Crow and White.
Cisco scored one run in the bottom of the fourth as Ashley Garcia singled, advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt by Chrystal Reese and scored on a single by Melyssa Lunsford.
MCC added four more runs in the fifth. Duron led off with a double and Davis walked. Mica followed with a home run to clear the bases. White drew a walk but was out at second on a fielder's choice by Campos-Reyes. Capps then doubled to score Campos-Reyes.
The Lady Wranglers rounded out the scoring with a run in the fifth. Garcia was safe at first and advanced to second on an error. Reese then singled to score Garcia.
The Highlassies return to action on Saturday, traveling to Sherman for a 1 p,m. doubleheader with Grayson.
