Two unbeaten teams take the Automax marquee matchup stage Friday night. Second-ranked Cameron Yoe and McGregor duke it out for the top spot in District 13-2A Division one.
The undefeated Yeomen and Bulldogs are not only trying to stay unbeaten on the year, but there's even more on the line for both sides.
"In McGregor, we don't like to lose to anybody and right now we are 0-2 against the Yoemen in district play," McGregor head coach Tim Sewart said. "Our guys would like to end that drought."
"It's going to be a district championship right here because we are 6-0 and they are 6-0. We are going to go and get it, I think we are going to be out on top when the night is over," Bulldogs' lineman Mario Ocampo said.
"We want to win the district championship," said Cameron Yoe head coach Rick Rhoades. "We just don't want to get into the playoffs, we want to win a district championship. And right now, McGregor stands right in the way, that's somebody we are going to have to take care of in order to do that."
"This might be the championship between this game, we've been practicing hard all week, and we are ready to go," Yoemen running back Keaton Denio said.
