Overlander Leads Argyle To 44-33 Win For Title

AUSTIN (March 10, 2012) -- Clarke Overlander notched a double-double to lead Argyle to a 44-33 win over Corpus Christi Miller for the UIL Class 3A boys state basketball championship.

Overlander, named the 3A tournament MVP, collected 14 points and 10 rebounds while Andrew Resch grabbed 13 rebounds. Connor York added 11 second-half points for the Eagles (31-8).

Argyle scored the first seven points of the game but trailed 18-17 with 4:04 left in the second quarter.

Argyle reeled off a 7-0 run and led the entire second half.

Marquis Lewis led Miller (30-10) with 10 points while Dale Perryman added nine points with seven boards and Billy Guzman scored eight points.
