(February 1, 2013) -- Jimmy Randolph announced his resignation as Lampasas athletic director and head football coach on Friday, citing family reasons.

Randolph spent one season as head coach of the Badgers, replacing Joey McQueen who resigned last April. Prior to becoming head coach, Randolph served as defensive coordinator of the Badgers for five years.

The Badgers went 1-9 in his lone season as head coach.

The school board will hold its monthly meeting Monday and discuss the replacement process at that time, according to Lampasas ISD Superintendent Dr. Randall Hoyer.
