COLLEEGE STATION (February 22, 2013)--A conceptual picture for a new and improved Kyle Field has been released by Texas A&M, and the new outside of the stadium has a striking resemblance to A&M's one-year-old baseball stadium, Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park.

A&M administrators stressed that this hasn't been approved yet by the Board of Regents, although the university is using the picture this week to measure student opinion on a proposed plan to raise student fees to pay for part of the estimated $400-million-plus price tag for the renovation.

Similar pictures have also surfaced on the internet from other sources.

University spokesman Jason Cook told KBTX-TV that A&M is working toward the plan coming before the regents at the May board meeting

So far no official stadium capacity has been released, but construction is expected to begin after the 2013 football season.
