Lady Bears Exhibition Opponent Changes

WACO (November 2, 2012) -- Shaw University President Dorothy Cowser Yancy cancelled Monday’s women’s basketball exhibition contest at Baylor on Friday, citing injuries and a depleted roster.

The Shaw Lady Bears, defending NCAA Division II champions, have six players available to suit up and two of those six are nursing injuries.

Tarleton State University has agreed to travel to Waco and play an exhibition game against Baylor on Monday at 7 p.m.

“I am very disappointed that Shaw University cancelled its trip to Waco, especially on such short notice. However, I am very grateful that Tarleton State head coach Ronnie Hearne has agreed to come play us on Monday,” said head coach Kim Mulkey.
