(December 8, 2013) It's the perfect way to close out a place they've called home for 64 years, celebrating a Big 12 championship.
Baylor won its final game at Floyd Casey Stadium and after the championship celebration, a light ceremony was held on the field. One individual from each decade that played at the Case had the responsibility of turning off a stadium light pole. The players were Gale Galloway (1950s), Don Trull (1960s), Jay Allison (1970s), Bruce Davis (1980s), Grant Teaff (1990s) and Cyril Richardson (2000s)
Baylor President Ken Starr turned off pole No. 7 and head coach Art Briles pulled the switch on light pole No. 8 to signify that the Case is officially closed for business and that a new era in Baylor football begins next fall at Baylor Stadium.
