State Trip Special for One Abbott Fan

ABBOTT (December 12, 2012) -- In Abbott, it's not hard to pick Annette Cook out of the crowd.

She's cheering for Abbott since she was in kindergarten Six of Annette's brothers played football at Abbott. Four of them wore the number 33, but two of them have passed away. Their legacy will live on Saturday when Annette's nephew wears number 33 in the state championship.

"It's a great burden knowing my uncles and even my dad wore that number. I have to show I can carry on that tradition," said Annette's nephew Marshall Nors.

"To finally see 33 out there at a state game is awesome. I can see my brothers out there running around, playing," Cook said.

Annette has missed just one football game since graduating from Abbott in 1989 and that's only because she was in the hospital.

Saturday at state, Annette will be there cheering them on, just like she has for the past 35 years.

"They'll probably be pushing me out here in a wheelchair. I won't ever stop," she said.
